mod podge ornaments

My sister came over this weekend and we mod podged some ornaments!!
We used the same method as the {mod podge pumpkin}.
Start with clear glass {or plastic} ornaments and fabric scraps.
Cut the fabric into 1x1" pieces and start sticking 'em on your ornament!
We used wooden dowel rods to help hold the ornament while we mod podged.
We put the rods in a cup to hold the ornaments while they dried.
We put the top back on and added a hook....
We cut some scraps with regular scissors and some with zigzag scissors.  The zigzag pieces frayed much less than the others and it looked pretty cute on the ornament too!

mod podge pumpkin!

The kiddos wanted to paint their pumpkins tonight!  I wanted to make one for my desk so I decided to mod podge some fun fabric on to my pumpkin.  Love it!!  How do you decorate your pumpkins?

jack-o-lantern jars

My students made Jack-o-lantern Jars this week!  We used jelly mason jars and matte Mod Podge.  The kids had fun and I love that no two look the same!

Jack O' Lantern Jar Family

I stumbled upon a tutorial for {Jack O' Lantern Jars} and I fell in love!!!
I decided that the kiddos and I were going to make these after school today. We have tons of jars laying around, so all we had to get was orange tissue paper!

They were super easy to make and the kiddos even enjoyed it!

Using mod podge, adhere 1" x the length of your jar strips of tissue paper.

Cut out a jack o' lantern face from black paper. {Not So Idle Hands} has face print outs, that is what we used! Mod podge the face onto the jar.

Paint the very top of the jar green and mod podge over the paint, once the paint is dry.

I put the fake tea lights in ours...

Mod Podge Ornaments

I was at Hobby Lobby last week and they had all their Christmas things half off! I grabbed these 4" clear glass ornaments, not sure what I was going to do with them, but figured at half off I could figure something out!! I attempted {this} and got frustrated when it wasn't working right!! My second attempt was Mod Podge-ing fabric squares onto the ornaments. Super easy and super cute! I hung them up on some pine branches to dry...the Bears one {above} is still a little wet, but the Mod Podge dries clear and acrylic-like.
