Frozen Birthday Party!

We had a Frozen themed birthday party for Natalie's 6th birthday!  

I made her aqua & magenta party frock, her bracelet and necklace came from {HERE} and Frozen hair pretty came from {HERE}. 

I ordered these super cute invitations through {Etsy}.  I also ordered a water bottle labels, a banner and a personalized birthday sign from the same shop.  Super quick turn around!  We had the party at the local ice rink - I thought it was appropriate!

  Olaf was a huge hit!  We got him {HERE}.

  I got Make-Your-Own-Olaf stickers for the kiddos' goody bags from {HERE}.  Each of the girls got a snowflake crown from {HERE}.  All the kiddos got Sven the reindeer antlers, from {HERE}.  I didn't use any of the red/green/Christmas pieces.  I actually had 12 left over crowns so I cut the "crown" part off and used those for the band for the antlers.  I added fabric bows to all the girls' antlers!
  All the kiddos got make-your-own magnetic snowflake frames from {HERE} and Reindeer Clappers from {HERE}.

We kept the tables simple with light blue tablecloths and light blue silverware.  The snowflakes are from {HERE}.  The white paper chain was something I added at the last minute.  

We got these SUPER cute Thank You notes from our friend Jodi's {Etsy Shop}.  Aren't they the cutest!?!

I'm not usually a huge fan of character themes but I really had fun with this one!!

To say I'm obsessed with finding vintage pillowcases is an understatement!!!

I've been scouring the internet to see what I can find!  I'm going to share a few places where I've found some cute pillowcases.

The pillowcase shown above is from {Dreamy Vintage Sheets}.  I have also purchased and received cases from {Freestyle Homemaker}, {Vintage Heartstrings} and {MSChildhouse}.

Something to look for is fading - since these are actual pillowcases that someone most likely slept on, there may be some fading in the middle section of the pillowcase and it may look funny as a frock.  A lot of sellers will {or should} disclose if there is any fading or stains.

 Lil Miss outgrew a lot of her frocks from last summer so I bought some fun fabrics to make her some new ones!  Here's "shades and chevron"! 

I had enough fabric to make one 0-12 month frock.  You can see it {here}!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend! 

I wanted to share some super cute ruffle leggings that I found over at {Patty M. Clothing}.  They come in four solid colors and in the length shown as well as capri length. 

I LOVE THEM with the frocks!  And they are super affordable too!

As the school year comes to a close, I've been working on tote bags for my kiddos' teachers!  I found a super easy tutorial {here}.  The only change I made to the tutorial is that I added a lining inside to make it reversible.  I filled them with a reusable cup, lemonade mix, and a magazine. 

Sorry I've been MIA lately - the end of the school year is crazy anyway but I'm also changing grade levels next year, so I feel extra busy!!  I have a feeling my normal summer sewing might not happen this summer!  What projects are on your summer sewing list?

These Hornet Pride Frocks will be available {in limited quantities, sizes 5T-8} during Heyworth Elementary's Open House on Thursday October 4th from 5-7pm!

 They are $15 each and all the proceeds go to the 6th grade Enrichment Program for supplies and materials!
