I found {this} book online last week and fell in love!
Crafy Chloe by Kelly DiPucchio is about a little girl that's not good at sports, video games or dance....but she is very good at making stuff!
She needs an extra special birthday gift for her friend and isn't sure if she can make something good enough.
Would you like to know how the story ends? Did Chloe pull off the best birthday gift ever?
I won't tell you - but I will send one of you
your very own copy and
a $25 JoAnn Fabric gift card!

would love to hear how the story ends! :) no sewing, but this summer i've made farm themed hats for claire's bday (pigs, cows, and chicks) and have also made personalized wooden signs for my lil sis' upcoming wedding
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds so cute. Love it! I took a flower girl dress for Addilece and fixed it up. I took the bow that looked AWFUL wrapped around the front and sewed it to just go in the back and took up the straps. I then added flowers to the front and flowers to a hair band. I've also been stuffing and making my own pillows for beds.
ReplyDeleteBesides painting and coloring with the kids, I've been sewing and making 3 flower girls dresses. Thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteOk. So I have totally let my "craftyness" slide this summer with little brothers arrival... BUT I'm looking forward to lots of projects this fall!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog. Thanks for the chance to win the book and gift card...very generous! The book sounds adorable...perfect for my creative girls. :) As for being crafty this summer, we've made so many fun things like water bombs out of sponges, canvas finger paintings to hang around the house, and we have more pipe cleaner art than I care to count. LOL
ReplyDeleteI am posting a comment as well as liking you on facebook.
I am a crafty momma who loves to sew and get crafty with my kiddos. This summer my girls designed dresses for their dolls. Painted Letters with their initial with their girlfriends for their bedrooms. We think diy gifts are the best. We've made many body scrubs and our latest gift is coasters with my photos of my friends puppy dogs for her birthday. BTW....Your dresses are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI have been making bows and doing scrapbooks!

I've been making lots of cheer bows and pinning
ReplyDeletemany ideas :)
I've been pinning, too, and dreaming of days with less baseball so I can create more! I did make a dress for my daughter and little drawstring gift bags for a birthday party!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I tell everyone about it :) this summer, I took sewing classes to become better with my sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteOk so I pretend to be crafty. And I try awfully hard. But you know the pinterest pictures that have the captions "nailed it" the ones that are usually a slightly off version are mine! Hahahah!! It looks like my 4 yr old made some of the stuff. However, I did put together an entire plants vs zombies party for my 7 year old and made everything homemade. It wasn't too bad!! I was proud. I have great ideas and good intentions, but I usually "nail it".
